This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Echotimber collects when you visit echotimber.com or place an order, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Echotimber is the trading name of TIMBERECHO LLC, which is responsible for your information. By using our website you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and the items you order. If you contact us, we keep your messages and any photos you send, for example of a damaged delivery. If you sign up for our emails, we keep your email address.
  • Payment information: card and other payment details are entered at checkout and processed by our payment providers. We do not store your full card number.
  • Information collected automatically: when you browse our site, our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and our payment providers collect device and usage information through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and items added to your cart.

How we use your information

  • To make, ship and deliver your order, send order and tracking updates, and process payments, returns, refunds and warranty claims.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support.
  • To keep our website secure and prevent fraud.
  • To send you emails about our products, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at support@echotimber.com.
  • To understand how our website is used and improve it.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the parties needed to run our store:

  • Our workshop in Vietnam, which builds and ships your order. It receives your name, delivery address, phone number and the items ordered.
  • Carriers (DHL, FedEx or UPS), which receive the delivery details needed to bring your parcel to you and to clear it through customs.
  • Shopify, which hosts our store, and our payment providers, which process payments and help prevent fraud.
  • Authorities or advisers, when the law requires it or to protect our rights.

Cookies

We use cookies to run the shopping cart and checkout, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, such as the cart, may then stop working.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for the order, its warranty period and our tax and accounting obligations. We keep marketing email addresses until you unsubscribe. Support messages are kept as long as they are needed to resolve your request.

Your rights and choices

Depending on the US state where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined by state law. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are processed over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

International transfers

Because your order is made and shipped from our own workshop in Hai Duong Province, Vietnam, some of your information is sent to and processed in Vietnam. We share only what is needed to build and deliver your order.
